Do y'all use a stylus on 7" tablet?

Lettering/icons tiny, fingers too big when I was trying to write to DPR on my 7" tablet just now.

Do you use a stylus for typing and tapping on icons? On Ebay/Amazon there appear to be some with a round rubber point and other thinner ones for "drawing" on the screen?

Does drawing/saving a sketch need an App, or is that function usually pre-loaded (my Tabtronics Quantum 7+ is a typical generic)?
