You have done pretty good! I prefer to take such shots later in the day, when the sun is down - the chances of the sunlight hitting the wings from below, avoiding shadows, creating lively contrast in the feathers are much higher. On my A55 continuous spot focus shooting at 7 fps works for me, best when there is no background besides the sky.

When using more than 400 mm fl, to follow the target with ease I use a red dot range finder. Some expert BIF shooters have a problem with that, but what counts for me is to get good pictures.
