My conclusion is that simple deconvolution can raise the sharpness and resolution of images from the K-5 II to the level of the K-5 IIs. To accomplish this in Photo Ninja might take as long as 5 seconds. All of which begs the question: Why inflict oneself with the K-5 IIs' moire, when there is little or no benefit to be gained?

That is my conclusion as well, and the reason why I chose to buy a K-5II instead of a K-5IIs. The price difference was not a factor.

My original preference (which was based on my experience from moving from an Olympus E3 with heavy AA-filter to an Olympus E5 with very light AA-filter) for an updated K5, was to have one with a very light AA filter, because coming from the Olympus E5, I found the filter of the K5 too strong. There is a certain look that AA-filters give, and you get to know that look. When the completely filterless K5IIs was announced, I had my reservations. Now that I have the K5IIs, these are gone.

Perhaps the K5II has a lighter AA-filter than the K5 after all.
