Oops. I meant to write that there are at least three instances of moire in the test image.

After pixel peeping(1:1), I found 7 areas with moiré.

1. Red cloth
2. VW Beetle
3. Coin
4. Greek figure(lower right neck contour)
5. Top left feather edges green
6. Globe
7. Bottom right feathers

And I'm sure there are other areas. But these are the ones that stood to to me.

Nice work, but give your eyes a rest. Some people are quick to dismiss these as insignificant, which may be true for web viewing or small prints, but not for cropped images or large prints.

All right, I consent: I would not recommend the K5IIs to expert moiré spotters, nor to studio shot dissectors.

I will recommend the K5IIs to those looking for impressive image quality regarding clarity and detail as well as overall appearance in normal real world use, who are willing to run the risk of encountering false color on rare occasion when viewing their images at 100%.

Again, the K5 has a different look to it (although being similar in many ways), and I can appreciate the preference for the somewhat smoother look of the K5. Take it any way you want, but just link me to the first user that returns his or het K5IIs due to moiré being objectionable in real use. I don't think you will find one.
