What about the icontrast feature. Is it turned on to either Auto or 200%?-- hide signature --
Sam I shoot RAW only and I believe icontrast is not available for RAW.

iContrast is done through software image processing after the shot. If they applied it to a CR2 file, it would no longer be raw.
I would suggest using it a bit more before passing final judgement. Pools and sunny days are notorious for sunlight reflections and glare so I can see easily how you could have blown out spots on any camera.
