Out of camera jpeg + picassa -v- RAW
Tell me if you think for this style of snapshot, it is worth your while spending the time in Lightroom or just drop it into Picassa and hit the sharpening button?
Thanks for the comparison! I use both sets of software, albeit very differently. I would personally be afraid of missing a moment in RAW, and then be left without all those juicy pixels. Most of my shots are simply shown on the web, where even a "small" JPEG would do. But, I make these from RAW. That way I can get the best out of the camera & lens, IMO.
I suppose I could shoot RAW & JPEG and only keep the RAWs if I really want the photo, and leave them as JPEG otherwise... it'd save a lot of space.
