Most people agree, but there are sometimes different opinions about which ISO are actually "real" (accomplished by signal amplification) and which are "faked" (accomplished numerically after reading out the image from the sensor).

Personally, I like the quick change from low to high ISO, when you've omitted 2/3 of them from the scale. Whether that implies optimum ISO performance or not, I don't care. I hope I can give my images a quality and attraction which obscures which ISO was used, and when I can't (happens more often than I like to admit) another ISO sure wouldn't have helped.
