Note that although the 7D does not support the in camera functions for multi exposure or HDR as some of the newest models does, you can still accomplish this for free. Make sure you upgrade your Digital Photo Professional software to the latest version, something that's available for free from Canon's web sites (provided you have the original DVD). Then you get access to the same functionality in post processing.
There are other softwares which can do this too, of course, but this is one simple and free way of getting that.
