What changed?

I received my k5IIs yesterday afternoon and have been trying to work out my kinks with it.

i could not get the exposure meter to work with my pentax m but found if I flipped the preview button (attached to the on/off switch) it would give me an exposure reading (i.e +0.3 -0.7)

however today....not sure if due to firmware update, or maybe I fumbled with setting....it would not do that, instead it would snap a preview and display on the LCD...

i did notice also that now if I press the green button it automatically sets my exposure...

anyone know what I have done? Or is it the firmware update?
