Nearly new D700 for good DX glass

I'm having second thoughts about buying a nearly new D700 when I really need to hang on to my D300 and get better glass.  The D700 body has less than 1,000 shutter actuations. [Maybe less than 600.  I haven't checked recently.]  I paid $1,800 USD for it.  I would be interested in trading for wide-to-mid range fast glass of similar value.  So, if you are considering moving to FX but don't want to get stuck with DX glass, we may be able to help each other.  I already have the 70-300 VR which is "good enough" for that range.  I'm looking for glass to fill in below the 70mm focal length.  A little overlap would be ok.
