Decision time on A99

Yikes, this reminds me that my fortieth wedding anniversary is in three short years. Time to start saving.

For the Grand Canyon, I personally wouldn't worry much about a telephoto lens. You might see some interesting critters at a distance. I've seen a lot of condors, but actually they were pretty close. The best photos I've ever gotten at the Grand Canyon were taken with the Sigma 10-20 (on a Pentax K20D). We might be back there next Christmas and, to my current 28, 35, 50 85 lineup, I'll be wanting to add a 20mm (for the A99). I actually had some good at the Canyon luck two years ago with an A580 using sweep pano, but a proper wide-angle lens is better.
