Hi Richard,
Might be worth a try. You will have to fiddle about with the processing though. The classic Photoshop channel swap does not work very well for me.
Alternatively as one poster suggested you could buy a used NEX-3 locally and convert it yourself. There are a couple videos on the web about how to do it. I should say though that I have not tried it myself yet!
