The 35mm 1.8 for nex is probably the most versatile and best performing lens for NEX, sigmas are very sharp too but you can get the full advantage if you pay a little more. OSS really does help out a lot. This morning I was able to get sharper/equally bright images than a Rokkor 1.4 by compensating the darker pics but longer shutter speed because of OSS, I could still clearly read a label across the room whereas even with the quick shutter the Rokkor allows...the slightest movement creates a blur.
The sel35f18 will do PDAF, better manual focus (than the 16-50pz) plus the OSS makes it a little pricey in comparison. But the 16mm isn't that bad, incredibly compact and the fisheye converter can be a fun option.
I have the 55-210 which actually does good images, great contrast in comparison to the hazier 16-50pz.
But for just fun...get an adapter and have at the legacy lens :)))
