In my experience so far, it seems like being young doesn't really help with skin being smooth... it's just some people who have great skin and also take care of it. In a recent photo shoot I did two of the youngest models had the worst skin.
But perhaps it's because everyone in Colorado is baking under UV quite often, and the European models in those photos are inside mostly during long grey winters.
Hehe. Age does have some effect. I think it's more about diet than UV exposure. They just eat better food (less processed and GMO'ed grains) in Europe.
