I don't remember all the settings I used, but try this:

Set the Highlights slider to -100

Set the Shadows slider to +100

Set the Blacks slider to +50

Set Luminance NR to 15

That will handle the highlight and shadow recovery and get it 90% there. After that just experiment with the different tools to get the image the way you like it.

Also try out the Adjustment Brush. I made some additional edits with this tool to deal with the mixed lighting (window sills should not be blue). The ability to do local edits is one of the things I appreciate when working in Lightroom, CaptureOne, and CaptureNX2.
