NEX Full Frame Rumor, Lens.

When the NEX-? has a full frame sensor will any of the current NEX lens work with FF or are they like the SAL DT lenses designed for APS-C only?Could the current NEX lens work on FF perhaps via an adapter?

When (not if, hehe) the NEX-9 comes--whether in December or early 2014--all current e-mount lenses will function as APS-C lenses. The same thing happens when you mount e-mount lenses to the full-frame VG-900. There's been some mixed rumors as to whether or not some/all of the Zeiss primes will cover the full-frame image circle, so that'll have to wait and see.

A reverse adapter by Sony or otherwise to turn an aps-c lens into being a capable FF lens would be both impractical and improbable. Metabones did something opposite/similar with their speedbooster, but it is designed for reducing the focal length of full-frame lenses. Increasing the focal length of aps-c lenses will reduce aperture speed and lead to poorer quality (ala a teleconverter). This isn't even taking into account that the flange distance between rear element to sensor doesn't allow for any room for more elements in an adapter.

There is LA-EA3 for using A mount lenses on VG900, so from the start, there should be enough lenses...

But knowing Sony, thay will probably introduce at least one FF E-mount lens, right away - 18-200.

They can never have enough 18-200s, can they? Heh heh.

I'd prefer to have only primes for the FF, but that's just a dream and has no chance at reality.

I think that customers would be able to use existing adapters for legacy lenses, because the flange distance should remain the same. So using primes should not be a problem.
