Replacing my 40D...

I don't know how dropping the flexibility of an SLR for a compact zoomer can be considered a normal step up... if you're jonesing for the latest high-tech do what I did... (I've owned and used every APS-C Canon DSLR EXCEPT the 40D)  buy a Rebel T4i .. that touchscreen is sweet, the DIGIC 5 processors rocks, and swivel finder is nice too... otherwise the G15 or G1X....
