For big cameras I would go for the Canon D1X or the Leica S2 or a Charmonix 045 or a Canham DLC.

For smaller cameras I admit I like the rangefinder (or minimalistic) style. On top of it all of course the Leica M series. Fujis are ok as well but well behind. I do like the innovative approach of the Nex-7 (especially with some black Leica M lenses). Then I think Sony Rx1 and Rx100 are up my alley too.

In mft land I would like best the Gx1 and maybe the small minimalistic Pens without grip but they look a bit cheap to me and as soon as the wild mixture of styles for the lenses add to that I am out when design is concerned.

Guess what I dislike most about the E-M5s design is the hump and the retro edge running around the upper part. They could have made it without the edge for a starter (leaving more room for more ergonomic placement of the controls at the same time) and to really make me happy they could have opted to build it a little bit higher (building in the flash as well) and the upper part similar to Leica or X-E1.

But one has to be said: after all the E-M5 feels very solid and that is something getting rare these days when everything becomes smaller and cheaper.
