Sigma 300-800

When i was shooting Canon I had a Sigma 300-800 lens. Its best at f8 but quite good at 5.6. Its heavy so its a tripod gimble mount lens only. For flying subjects like birds its way easier than any prime as you can zoom back get subject in viewfinder then zoom in. If I ever get the money I will buy another one. I myself would have an heck of a time trying to get a flying bird into the viewfinder with the lens zoomed in to 800mm. Which is what your stuck with with a 800mm. No problem for stationary subjects.

Its the most versatile long lens you can buy plus way less money

Here is 100 percent crop from the lens. from a canon 1dmk2 800mm F8.

and a few more
