I'm considering the 5R + 16-50mm PZ kit (avail here in the UK), and so went into John Lewis, and under what are difficult conditions (camera is attached to theft deterrant, flourescent lighting etc), Popped my SD card into the camera, took a series of test shots of people and items around me (wide and zoomed), popped the SD card into my MacBook Air 13" and took a look. Wanting to pixel peep, I went home to view the images (and test video) on my colour accurate Dell 23" monitor.

If you can visit a retailer that will allow you to step outside, that is even better. That is why the loss of Jessops (here in the UK) is a problem, we have NO high street photography stores any more!

(Curry's are often in shopping malls and have all their gear attached to theft alarms.)
