For serious travel photography, would you rather use an xe-1/xpro1 or a canon or nikon full frame?

The 200mm f2 is my favorite lens ever made.

It is THE reason I drag my D800E along on trips.

But traveling by train, hiking long distances and going to places where a D800E and 200 f2 might attract unwanted attention I leave it behind.

There are still things the X system can not do. Ultra fast focusing, low light focusing, and long lenses are the three things that come to mind. If these will be important on a shoot, I take the big guns. Otherwise, the XE1 with 12, 14, 18-55 and 35 get the call. The A3 prints are amazing. Dare I say, as good as the D800E.
