Do RAW shooters use the Fuji X DR enhancement feature?

On non EXR sensor cameras (X100, X-Trans) DR 200/400 does little more than using 1 or 2 stops less amplification (ISO) and then digitally pushing tone-curves to compensate. This is about the same as if you had manually chosen smaller ISO values and then compensated via sliders in your favorite raw software. Some software may lead to more pleasing results, Lightroom was mentioned, but you may have to do more manual work to get there.

It may be better to change exposure via shorter shutter time, depending on how linearly the specific camera's sensor behaves with changing amplification (ISO). But that may not always be an option for every shot. When AUTO DR works properly (on the X10 it does not) it offers the advantage of deciding for you when to use DR 200/400 and when not. So it may offer the best solution for people who are not sure about when to turn it on/off manually.

And of course DR 200/400 is a very useful feature for JPG shooters who don't want to be bothered with raw software and tone-curve post-processing to begin with.
