It could be - I am not a Fuji apologist, but it was exposed at ISO800 to give DR400.

Yes, but seen the immense praise the X-trans sensor has got in many reviews, for ISO800 (a medium ISO speed these days) this is by no means "great" - it looks good as a whole image, but noisy when seen in enlargement.

The old S5pro was certainly not worse at ISO800, actually it would have done the same scene in ISO100 or 200 and with enhanced DR (400% anyway).
