Canon 60d Or 7D? Specific needs

Hey guys,
So I have been shooting SLRs for about 11 years and shooting DSLRs on full manual for about 3. I currently own a dated canon rebel XSI and it is high time for an upgrade. Until about a year ago I was primarily and landscape/nature photographer but then I got asked to shoot some live shows for one of my friends bands. I have to say im hooked. The added difficulty of shooting in these low light conditions, and the satisfaction that comes from pulling decent shots is increadibly rewarding.
I have been researching the 60D and 7d for about a month now, and while it is clear that either one is leaps and bounds over my XSI, they do have differences in regards to each other.
Since I will be shooting mostly in lower quantity light I do need something that handles all aspects of this environment. The specs lead me to believe that the 7d would be the better choice but is it REALLY worth the extra $500 for me?
Advantages to the 7D as I see it:
-Dual digic processors which I am told cut back slightly on grain at higher ISO
-19 points cross type autofocus Vs 9. (this will make focusing not only more accurate but faster in low light correct?)
-Higher FPS (not something I am terribly concerned with for concert photography. 3-5 FPS would meet my needs)
I would like you guys to weight in as to which camera body I should be looking at. I am by no means made of money, however, I am willing to pay more if it means I am getting something I really could not get in the 60D.
Now I will also be forgoing the kit lens that comes with either body because an F-stop of 3.5 max is just not going to cut it any more(that is what I have been using). I will be buying an aftermarket lens as well. At this point I will be steering away from prime lenses even though im sure I will be buying a nifty fifty 1.7, or perhaps even a 30mm down the road. Its just that if I am skipping over the kit lens I will need a low light variable zoom that will work for my concerts as well as meet my needs for a day to day "walk around" lens. One lens that I have really been looking at is the Tamron 17-50 2.8. The only things that turn me off about this lens are the loud focusing motor(im not too concerned about this) and the fact that you apparently cannot turn off the auto focus on the lens? In any event, i would love alternate suggestions if you have one. However I cannot really justify spending over 800 on a lens at this point.
In summation I guess my question boils down to this.
-Is the 7d worth the extra money, for my uses, or would the 60d with nicer glass be work just as well?
-Assuming the 7d is the way to go, what glass would you recommend that's not going to break me financially?
Thanks for your time and input!
