Upgrading A65/A77 Firmware 1.07 with Windows 7

I just upgraded my A65 to firmware version 1.07. I have done a couple of firmware upgrade versions in the past with no problem. The one problem I found is if you use Windows 7 it tells you remove the hardware safely. There is no icon in Windows 7 to allow you to do this. I took a chance and just pulled the cable from my pc and then it worked fine. I assume this might be the same with Windows 8. Maybe Sony should rewrite their instructions. Like other posters said if you don't want to reset you photo counter leave at least one picture on your sd card so the camera will increment to the next number. It worked for me.

I probably won't do much outside shooting this week due to the blizzard in New England. My area got 30 inches of snow next door to Boston.
