I am rather envious. Blue skies are a bit atypical for Laos this time of year. Where in the country are you located? Hard to believe that you are having difficult finding something to shoot. I would think that the largely orange, red and yellow colored temples would well against the blue skies. For landscapes, blue skies generally work well for the mountains around Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. Usually the hazy grey skies make shooting mountain vistas impossible. Clear blue skies should also work well for the sunsets on Mt. Phousi and along the Mekong in Vientiane and other locals. If you want green paddies, head east toward Paske and the Vietnam border - you will find the prototypical green terraced landscaped scenes.
