Why is my Bird picture soft?

Sounds interesting! I'm an adaptation physiologist/molecular biologist. I did a traineeship at a department where they did research on the wing movement of hummingbirds (although my own work concentrated on fish). Great stuff with high speed video cameras and mechanical models of the wings, but the biomechanics/physics was a bit more advanced than my own humble knowledge.
