Laos - Dry season frustration. No picture.

I'm in Laos at the moment and feeling a bit frustrated that all the paddy fields are dry and the sky is always blue(!). I'm enjoying myself but feeling that my photos are lacking drama as I'm not finding very interesting landscapes.
Anyone got any thoughts on this? I feel I'm here in the wrong season!
