Minolta lenses are back focusing
Feb 9, 2013

I just got my camera back from sony repair to fix an issue where the kit lens would give an attachment error. They changed the mirror box on the camera (A35). I also had them check the focus accuracy.

The kit lens looks like it is focusing spot most of the time. I have 3 minolta lenses and they are all back focusing by the about same amount.

Does the focus system work different with SAM lenses vs screw drive? None of the minolta lenses are D lenses but I assume that is only used for the flash. Can they adjust the autofocus just in the kit lens chip?

I'd hate to sell the minolta lenses if the problem is potentially on the camera still. Anyone have experience with this?
