NEW FZ150 - zoom judder?

Thanks for the reply!  Hmm nope I've actually never zoomed either of these with the hood on or even taken a single picture using the hood - the only time I attached the hood was on the 1st FZ150 once to see how it looked and that as far as I remember was with power off.

I am pretty sure I've tried with the stabiliser on/off ... (huh? page 143 of the manual that comes on the disc doesn't have anything about stabilisation?) hmm surely it should be ok to use stabilisation during video zoom?  But! Will test it now ....

Ok! hmmm I really can't see any difference between having it on/off with this replacement FZ150... what I AM noticing is a drift while zooming in and out it's down and to the left at full zoom - always goes to the same spot and drifts about in between.

So to recap:

1st FZ150 sometimes had a couple of bumps in the zoom just before the lens came to rest but a straight and centred zoom path.

2nd FZ150 has only shown much smaller 'bumps' that you really don't notice while using the camera (but seem to show up once viewing on my computer) however the image drifts around while zooming and is off centre when zoomed out.

hum....

Ugh I wish it was that simple a fix!  I remember checking that option and it was definitely off and is off on the replacement too (I don't have either of the conversion lens so no use for those options) Thanks for checking though!
