All the photos I uploaded were 1200 pixels on the long edge BUT...

The landscape images are resized larger (so do not look sharp as compared to the image on my computer) and the portrait images are resized smaller (and even these aren't as sharp as the originals). Couple questions:

- I can't find a way to have it just use the size I uploaded?

- or failing that, is there an optimum long edge for landscape and a different value for portrait, that if I uploaded would then not be compressed or expanded by the site (and would then be as sharp as here on my computer)?

I also try to analyze the two long sides resizes (for landscape & portrait), the most I like is 1920 and 1080 (no zoom on full HD TV).

In my post, above yours, the 2 photos (DPReview and Nikon Image Space) are 798x1200, but the 100% size is different.
