Since Canon seems to be moving away from high end APS-C, and perhaps ven Nikon (where's the replacement for D300?), this leaves the offering available to Pentax perhaps ? Don't know if that is true, but some are saying that Pentax is having difficulty securing bleeding edge Sony sensor technology because the big 2 have monopolized (I guess that would be "bipolized" ! ) the supplies for themselves in an agreement with Sony. So Pentax can only get "second hands" sensors ! Any truth to that ?

Right now only Nikon APS-C model with Sony sensor is D7000 and very soon in few months time it will be replaced with new model. The two other Nikon APS-C models use non-Sony sensors, 24MP Nikon in D3200 and 24MP Toshiba in D5200.
So there will be room for Pentax to use Sony sensors.
