Hello
I currently have a Canon T3i with the kit lens and a 55-250mm lens.
I am looking to do some Macro and am looking for recommendations on what lens to start looking at.
I am also reviewing what I currently have and looking to make my camera kit complete with other lens recommendations.
Canon close-up lens 500D and 250D in 58mm diameter attached to the end of your EF-S 55-250 will give you macro (to 1:1 or greater) at a relatively low price.
If the 55-250 is really your only lens, then consider a "normal" zoom to use iwith it. EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS II is good but cheap and flimsy. The Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM isn't really a macro lens, but will focus closer and give greater maximum magnification than similar normal zooms or your 55-250.
