7D + 70-300L sometimes too much resolution/sharpness... C&C welcome...

Reviewing my 70-300L photos to look where I need to improve (since it's Feb in Ohio and the weather is terrible)...

I like this photo, but I tossed it to the side as a "could have been a good photo" due to all of the flies... would you make this a keeper and try to remove the flies?
