Lens dilemma for NEX 5R (Travelling)

I spent a month in South Africa this past year and I used the Zeiss 24 90% of the time; the SEL 50 the other 10% of the time. I never had a moment where I wished I had another lens. On the boat ride to Robben Island, I had my 24 on my camera to take pictures of my students on the ride over and we saw about 200 dolphins. I got some neat photos, but I did wish I had my SEL 50 on at that moment and I didn't want to switch lenses as the dolphins were passing us quickly. But these 2 lenses served my needs just swell.

The year prior, I did the same trip and went on a safari. It would have been nice to have the 55-210 for that, but that's the only days I would have used that lens.

If I had the Sigma 30 then I would probably be able to use it for most of my shots. The SEL 50 is really nice for shooting street portraits. I really like to have a lens for lower light and the 18-55 kit lens just isn't that. But the kit lens should serve the OP well in decent light if that's the route he takes. It would certainly cover his landscape needs (e.g., around 24mm) in good light.
