New Sony Sensor

The step up from 16 to 20 MP would not provide a very significant increase in resolution by itself. Additional design changes and/or software improvements would be needed.  From what I've seen out of other cameras, one would need to go to 24 or 36 MP to see a marked increase in resolution.
