I will agree with the user and call this another annoying limitation on the list of limitations i am discovering on the D3200

I'm a D3100 shooter and I agree with your conclusion, I would say it is the biggest limitation of the D3X00 line. A restriction of control of AF is a big deal on a DSLR.
