What is the benefit of APS-C over 4/3

I suppose the only counter argument is that it would be preferable, presumably, to have say a FF Canon 1.4 lens and stop it down to 2.8 than it would use an Olympus 1.4 at max aperure - because usually most lens are (basically) better stopped down a little?
