Favourite shot of 2012.

Been at work and really busy for the past few days so haven't had get the chance to reply to the marvellous additions to this thread since my last post, until now.

I didn't think this thread would be as popular as it has and all I can say is Thank you all for your participation. From looking at each image  I look forward to the next in series because of the quality and meaning they all have.

jcochran... Fantastic view of a place I would love to see, any image I had of Yosemite would feature in my favourites.

Rectified... Great shot and I agree with the idea of strength in adversity with the tree continuing to exist in the terrain that it does.

Brev00... A great view of another place I'd like to visit.

Rajeshb... Strong and vibrant images that would feature in anyones favourites.

Vladi... Sorry to hear of illness and hope you continue to recover, nothing wrong with the D90 and I can understand why these would be favourites. Wishing you many more for 2013.

Dragonborne... This is another shot with the spirit of the thread, I have favourite images because they are my best technicaly but it's the ones with memories that mean the most, thank you.

Alex... Love the mood and tranquility, not surprised it's a favourite.

Paul... Glad the thread encouraged you to post such a great shot and glad you have the memories to go with it. Maybe you'll post some more in a post of your own which I've no doubt we will all enjoy if this is anything to go by.

Greg... Great shot that conveys the cold and sense of being there.

kevylloyd... Great shot of a historic place with minimal modern intrusion. Cheers.

Mark... Love it, a great shot of somewhere we would all like to say we have been. The other two of top three must be top notch.

Nigel... Now you've gone and done it, I'm homesick. I'm a Scott myself and been here many a time in Glencoe, this spot is at Achnambeithach and it's good to see with the evening light just catching the tops. Good memories.

Vitto... Lovely shot of a really interesting church, thank you.

abacaxi... Love it, love his character, that shot would feature in anyones list of favourites.

Thank you also to those who have commented on these great shots. there have been a lot of posts added to the thread and I have a feeling it may be getting a bit long in the tooth now but it's already one I can look back on for the enjoyment of the quality images already submitted.

Hopefully there are still more to come.
