Hi guys . Recently bought me a 40d and I have notice that it tends to underexpose a bit , even under sunny condition . I started of with the kit lens , 18-55mm is II ( by the way , nice kit lens ) till I come to terms with the camera and learn how to use it . My question is if this underexposure issue , is it a normal thing for the 40d ? If not , could it be the kit lens ? To me , its no big issue as a bit of exposure compensation ( about +2/3 ) solves the issue . I have two Nikon dslr and had a third one which I sold and with them I have to cut down on the exposure as it tends to clip highlights on high contrast conditions and was surprise to have a camera that goes the other way . Thanks for your answer in advance . Take care .
I have to say I never had an issue with metering when I was using a 40D.
Can you post any examples?
