I have tried many compact and SLR / DSLR cameras. Bought them, used them for years and sold them. I still own four - my very first 'serrious' 35mm - a Minox 35GT (OK it is nt the original - I bought one in 'Mint' 20 years after I traeded it in for a SLR), my very first SLR - a Minolta X700 (it still works fine), my first FF DSLR (great deal for a CPS maintained EOS 1DS  II sample in excellent conditon two years ago) - and a Canon S95 with RF grip.

I always wanted a S95 from the first announcement but I was on the 'wideangel' trip, waiting for a 24mm compact with RAW. When all new cameras came with CMOS sensors, lens errors etc.  I deceded to go for a used S95 - and I will always keep it. It feels like the Minox and is able to deliver fantastic results.

So good luck with your S95 - I strongly recommend to add this grip and I can promise you will have lots of joy with this solid and creative little camera.
