Obviously the EA2 isn't for everyone, but I think you're unfairly ignoring the fact that there is no compact APS-C sensor camera with DSLR AF-C performance. The NEX can get this performance with an add-on, but there isn't any add-on to make a DSLR the size of an NEX. The NEX's strength, as always, is it's flexibility.

On the original topic, I had pretty good luck with AF-C the other day with my NEX-5R and kit lens. I got this:



I did have to take a lot of pictures to get that one, but it wasn't because of missing focus, it was because most of them were like this:
