If you are choosing between XE1 and OMD, the OVF is out of your purhasing equation here.

I owned OMD for a while and used it for couple trips and walkaround. It's a really nice camera. Everything is so well executed except the buttons / controls are a little too cramped. I like it very much and I am sure you will not regret to have it. IQ is at least close to 7D and the OOC color is very good. LR can handle it's raw files nicely. AF is lightning fast even with the 12-50mm kit lens. I am happy with the sharpness from the kit lens after up the sharpness in camera or thru PP. The touch tilt screen is just too good to ignore. The lens collection is comprehensive and you will not miss your DSLR unless you are shooting fast actions. It is a established system and it is sure a winner.

I now use XE1 just because the fuji SOOC color, skin tone and IQ is too good to pass. The retro rangefinder style of the body somehow is more attractive to me than the retro SLR style that the OMD offers. The button layout and body size is just perfect to me. Fuji XE1 is not a particularly complicated camrea. I dont use all the bell and whistle that found on OMD so bthe Fuji is fine. Fuji's AF is slow comparing to DSLR and even to OMD. So if you are looking for AF speed, this is not your best option.

I still miss the OMD screen and AF speed sometimes. But I have no problem to stick with Fuji as long as the lens collection is expanding and the AF will improve in the next model.
