I bought it to as a back up for my 5D and 24-105.
Now I use it as back up on my 5D2.
Recently did some static indoor shots at 2.8 and it worked great and didn't miss focus.
Will be using it more and more now as my 24-105 has been repaired twice(but still works).
* focus not as quick as Canon lens
*focus is accurate and does not need microadjustment.
Great 'Value for money lens'
