Shutter speed rule was based on 8x10 print
In reply to michaeladawson, 4 months ago

The way I understood the old shutter speed rule was that it was based on what was considered safe for an 8x10 inch print.... obviously, pixel peeping at 100% is much larger than an 8x10.

Nothing new here, I could easily get better images from a tiny 35mm frame with MLU, cable and tripod that hand holding my medium formats (Bronica etrsi 645)

Perfect focus wide open is not going to be 100% on ANY camera, shooting head and shoulder image at 1.4 the difference between sharp eyes and soft could be from a poorly timed breath... I would do some testing with AF-C
