Please excuse the beginner question, but I'm new to non-point and shoot photography and just bought a NEX 6.
Does it really matter that prime, pancake lenses are not stabilized? I understand that it's important for zoom lenses but don't understand why it would make a difference for non-zoom lenses.
Stabilization is more important for longer focal lengths. Has nothing to do with a lens being a pancake or prime. For example, if you had a 200mm prime lens, you would definitely want stabilization since any little shake would result in a blurry picture.
