Are you concerned about Nikon longterm?

especially after reading Thom Hogan's recent blog post, now retitled "The turn approaches".

No doubt Nikon will be around in one form or another for a very long time, but my concerns are that if Nikon can't make a profit, it will be hard to continue to make investments in new technology and continually refresh their products.

Canon, on the other hand, is into so many businesses they can continue in the camera market even if all they can do is break even with it. Right now Nikon has better cameras/sensors, but Canon has the stronger system IMO. At the moment, I like Canon's future better than Nikon's.
