Color Temp Confusion
P.S. In what way to do see that Aperture's "Light Table" defaults to 5000 Kelvin? Aperture's various display formats, Light Table being only one, use whatever display profile your monitor is set for through "System Preferences/Displays/Color". Aperture also has the ability to use a "printer output profile" to Soft Proof an image so you can see approximately what your print will look like when printed with that profile. Lots of folks get terminally confused by this distinction. A "Display Profile" has absolutely nothing to do with a "Printer Profile", except that they interact with each other in negative ways if you don't use them correctly. For instance, what you are saying would only be true if you set "Onscreen Proofing" in Aperture, then chose a monitor display profile done with a color temperature of 5000 K. Don't do that.
Only my opinion. It's worth what you paid for it. Your mileage may vary! ;-} www.dougwigton.com/
