For some reason (probably your title, but also the viewing window in the door), this photo makes me think of a prison (death row, probably). The ceiling fan creates a reverberating echo of gallows and guillotines combined, and it adds to the impression, once that has settled in a feverish mind.

Colourwise, it is obviously always a pleasing thing to combine primary colours.

It is simple, and stark, and a bit haunting.

EDIT AFTER SOME MORE CAREFUL VIEWING:

The image just keeps giving more.

Now my eye is drawn to the small blue object on the table, and to what I think is a reflection in the window glass in the door : looks like a man with arms stretched wide.

We should really be seeing this way bigger.
