Downloading those huge D800 RAW files - tested new Hoodman reader

Just tested new Hoodman "RAW Steel" CF and SD card reader. I'd been using a SanDisk that is probably 10 years old. Just figured a reader was a reader. Man was I wrong.
3 NEF files from a Lexar 800x CF card totaling 125mb took a little over 2 minutes to load into Lightroom on the old SanDisk. 3 other NEF files of about the same size took between 8 and 9 seconds with the Raw Steel reader.
And that is with one hand tied behind it's back. It's a usb 3 reader but I only have usb 2 on my computer so it wasn't even running full speed.
The reader seems to be well built. The card slides about 3/4 of the way in, so the guide rails make sure the pins line up.
I posted this on this forum due to the large file sizes the D800 produces. I guess if the administrator wants to, they can move it to Accessories forum.
